Liverpool’s 17-year old winger, Raheem Sterling unravelled his aim of winning a place in the team under new manager, Brendan Rodgers and vowed to impress him during the training sessions.
The Jamaican born English footballer spent seven years at the Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 youth academy, before being signed by the Reds in February 2010 for an estimated 600,000 pounds transfer fee.

He represented the Merseyside club in three league games last season, and is yet to make his first start.
Nevertheless, Raheem let out his excitement over working alongside Rodgers at the Melwood training ground these days, and revealed that the Northern Irishman has blown a spirit of vehemence in the entire squad.
The winger indicated that Rodgers was giving him invaluable tips as to how to improve on his game, and he was looking forward to impress him ahead of the new season.
“He makes everyone feel welcome, even the young lads who are coming up. For him to speak to us is really good. He's given us advice, he's a good manager.”

Despite his small size and lack of experience on the field, the player claimed that he was working harder than ever to grab a permanent place in the squad, and felt that his manager’s playing style will suit his game.
“It’s just really about doing more strength work so I can be ready for whenever I am called upon. His attacking style of play suits me perfectly but I've still got to work hard in training and try to prove myself and hopefully it will pay off.”
The winger believes that no matter what challenges fall in his way as he sets out to meet his targets, working hard will be his primary objective.
