The former Indian captain, Rahul Dravid, believes that pacers will be crucial for the Men in Blue, if they are to win the upcoming four-match Test series against England, commencing on July 21, 2011, at the historical Lord’s venue.
While talking to the media reporters before leaving for England, the iconic middle-order batsman agreed that the Poms will have the advantage of playing under home conditions; however, he did add that India has improved a lot in the recent years.
"It's a hard one to call. England are playing at home, so they have that advantage,” said Dravid. “We're a good side, a settled side, and we've been playing good cricket over the last couple of years. If we can keep our fast bowlers fit, then we'll be very
competitive," he stressed.
