Indian top-order batsman, Rahul Dravid, after hitting a marvellous century during the third-day of the first Test match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, on June 22, 2011, has said that it has been quite a hectic task for him to adapt to the conditions in Sabina Park.
"It was tough physically. I came here just three days ago. The jet lag, getting up early morning, having not played a Test for a long time and playing in these hot conditions has been very tiring," remarked Dravid.
Dravid, who has been batting for more than 400 minutes, completed his 32nd Test century, by amassing 112 runs, with the help of 10 fours and a six.
His brilliant century proved helpful in dominating the Windies, as they require 195 more runs to enjoy a victory with seven wickets in hand.
"You could do as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gordon-Muchall-c1499 physical workout; do the bike and gym and run laps of ground but the sheer effort of batting and fielding and staying on the field and then immediately come to bat, needs practice,” Dravid added.
The former captain added that he sweated a lot during the game and physically it was a great challenge for him. He asserted that this was the reason he has been working hard on his fitness, because the way he bats requires prolonged stay on the wicket.

The right-handed batsman praised Amit’s efforts stating that he played a significant role and showed his skills by sticking with him for a good stand.

The veteran recently revealed that Tendulkar has been a great source of inspiration for him, and the motivations still continues.
The fourth-day of the 1st Test will resume on Thursday, June 23, 2011, with the Windies’ innings of 131 for the loss of three wickets.
