Rahul Dravid still confident of India’s fight back – Cricket News Update
India’s http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Dravid-c2229 believes his side can still fight back against Australia in the second Test of the four match series at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
The tourists need 354 more runs to avoid an innings defeat and have lost a couple of wickets. They ended day three of the match with 114 runs on the board with opener http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739 and first-drop Dravid already back in the hut.
It seems almost impossible for the Men in Blue to win the match from this position, but they can still draw it if they apply themselves in the middle over the next two days.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556 will start the proceedings for India on day four. They were unbeaten on 68 and 8 respectively and will look to bat for at-least two sessions tomorrow in order to pressurise the opposition.
Gambhir was a touch lucky towards the end of the day, as he was dropped by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BJ-Haddin-c1170 in the second last over of the day.
Despite that, Dravid feels that the stylish opener batted extremely well and could go onto make a big one for the team tomorrow.
According to ‘The Wall,’ “Happy for Gautam, he has been under pressure and he has worked really hard...he hung in there towards the end today too.”
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 and we thought we
would play better here..what can I say we are not happy.”
One of the main reasons for India’s struggle in the longest version of the game is that Tendulkar has been unable to deliver in recent times. He is just one away from a historic 100th international ton, but seems to have taken a lot of pressure
of this landmark.
However, the legendary batsman will have a golden chance to reach the milestone tomorrow at the SCG, a ground where he has enjoyed batting over the years. If he managed to score a big one, the team might manage to save the match, which will be a great achievement.
