Rail travel in Essex?

Hi guys, bit of unusual question here. On friday I'm travelling from Southend to Chelmsford by train, I know I have to change at Shenfield to continue to Chelmsford, but does anyone know what platform I need to move to. I'm not a very confident traveller and my eyesight isn't great, so i'd like to know before I set out :D

Many thanks in advance, Kerry x*x

  1. I'm sorry, I can't give you platform numbers, but I know you will have to cross from the southbound to the northbound platforms - I think by subway at Shenfield. As you have probles with your sight, why not telephone customer services for Shenfield Station on 0845 600 7245 and explain you problem. They should arrange to have s member of staff meet you and arrange your transfer between platforms.
