I was painting the balcony railings and then it began to rain, i was about 1 and a half hours in, I checked the weather it said NO rain. SO i didn't get 3 hours at least to let the paint cure to the metal, will the paint bubble and that i have to restart again, or will it be fine? The rain has stopped now and i whipped of the area and it is still sticky, Or can i wait another day and repaint everything

  1. It really depends on the humidity and temp during the limited dry time you had.  Some paints can dry enough in that short of a time to be OK, others not so well.

Let it dry for the full cure time (overnight), and if you see visible problems tomorrow, you might as well re-do those areas.  It'll look better and last longer.  Use a wire scraper to remove any bubbled parts, and recover those areas with paint.  The color should blend fine, so don't worry about stripping areas that did not get ruined.  If its just slight discoloration that you see the next day, first try wiping the surface, you might get lucky and find its a surface stain.  Otherwise, a quick top-coat over any large surfaces should do the trick.

You did the right thing by removing as much water as you could.  Sorry to hear the weather working against you!
