Rain in Punta Cana?

Hi , I'm traveling to punta cana in 3 days and the weather forcast says showers almost everday . and the weeks leadin up to this one they have all had showers. How long does it usually rain ? is it going to ruin my trip .. let me know please !! thanks soo much !
