  2. On average about 150 days a year! we love the rain :D but its always gray skys. the tempature almost NEVER gets above 87. our weather forcast is almost always " a chance of rain"

  3. Seattle averages 32 inches a year. It is gray and overcast except for the summer months.

The Hoh Rain Forest on the Olympic Peninsula gets over 100 inches of rain a year and is overcast about the same amount of time as Seattle .

Moses Lake, East of the Cascades averages 6 inches of rain or snow a year. and has over 300 days of nice bright sunshine.

  4. Really, it doesn't rain nearly as much as everybody says it does. We probably get about 2-4 days of heavy rain per month, and less during the summer. But when an occasional storm comes, it can be raining for at least a week at a time.

Often times though, it is very cloudy, gray, and in the 50°s, sometimes with slight sprinkles. It's not as bad as the name it gets.

EDIT: However, in January 2007, it rained for nearly 20 days straight. For the first 2 and a half weeks of the year, there had been at least some rain recorded.

  5. I currently live here, Washington, and my aunt, who's lived here for years said there was one month where it rained for over 30 days.

She said there was snow in March, and the weather really depends.

But when it's hot, it's definetly hot. It gets muggy and foggy and humid a lot.

  6. Well on the west side of the Cascades it rains a good part of Sept - may. Around the coast it rains allot more.(around the Olympic rain forest especially)

East of the cascades it's desert.

Summers ar nice though.... for the most part

  7. Here's the thing about the Seattle area: it rarely pours down rain.  It is gray and misty almost every day in the fall/winter/spring and 4 out of 7 days the rest of the year. People just put their hoods up and go about their business in the mist/sprinkle.  You'll rarely find sports games rained out, because it doesn't rain hard enough.  Kids go out to recess in it and don't mind.

Usually the summers make up for it because they are beautiful, but the past two years have been cold and cloudy.

  8. You can look at average rain-fall statistics all you want, and it won't tell you the main thing. The main thing is the gray. We are frequently overcast, even if it's not raining. It doesn't rain like crazy here and get it out of it's system, nor do we have snowfall followed by bright winter sun. We have gray. You know all that beautiful green people fall in love with? There's a reason for it, lots of wet and not a lot of sun.

  9. during the winter like all the time during the summer not really ever and in fall some times untill it gets to winter then your ******

  10. Rain and rain....Washington state is one of the most beautiful places on the face of earth......very clean unlike other states...I love my state..Born and Raised.............
