  1. I don't know if spinners are really helpful or not.

    I had this one first........

.....which was fun to play with, but I'm not sure it really helped my spins.  A big negative about this spinner is that you can't use it on just any floor.  If you use it on tile, it'll slide out from under you.  If you use it on hardwood, it scratches the floor.  If you use it on cement, it wears the rocker down on the bottom.  And it obviously won't work on carpet of any type.  The only surface I found that I could use it on with out damaging the floor or the spinner was the rubber flooring at the rink.  I think this one is a little more realistic with the rocker, but still it's pretty hard to use and actually get more than 3 rotations out of.

    I recently got this one....

......and I'm beginning to think it was a waste of money.  While you can use this one on any surface because it has rubber feet, it feels very unnatural.  It spins much faster than you would on ice and if you're lucky to get two rotations in, you still end up flying off of it.  The only thing any of us could really do with it were some short-lived back scatch spins and a "butt spin" where I gave my stepdaughter a push so she would spin.

So, I think I prefer the plastic one, even though they're not super helpful.  Also their "lifespan" is a little shorter because the rocker does eventually flatten out after a lot of use.  Either way, they're at least fun for entertainment purposes!

Rainbo does ship to Canada.  The only country they do not ship to is Mexico.  I do all my shopping with Rainbo...in person and by internet/cataloge order.  I've been pretty happy with all of my dealings with them.  :)

  2. My personal experience on this product is don't waste your money.

Below is a page of links from yahoo answers about the same questions.

    Hope this helps you more.

  3. Yes, Rainbo does ship internationally.

I can't remember where I bought mine from, but it is similar to this one, if not exact:

My personal experience: it did NOT help with spins.  In fact, I probably fiddled with it just a handful of times and then threw it in the closet.

At one point in my skating, I was getting desperate because it seemed like I was never going to spin.  So frustrated, I foolishly bought a spinner.  Sure you can sort of spin on it, but what's missing is it does NOT teach you spin entrances.  A spin entrance is crucial to giving you a spin . . . a poor entrance is often the culprit of a poor spin.  You can't even skate an edge and push into your spin on a spinner - so what's the point?  A little more patience and concentrating on spin entrances ON the ice got me to improve my spins - good ol' ice practice.

Mine made a better door stop!! HA!

I dont know if they ship to canada or not, but you could try ordering and if    it ships to canada it will go through, and if it dosent then it wont.
