Rainbow 2e Overheats... its the Electric Motor...

Question

Hi,I have a Rainbow 2e with what seems to be a common ailment. Has anyone a solution?The little fan that presses on above the electric motor (that cools the motor) is pressed onto a 1/4 OD splined shaft thing... Its a horrible design... Perhaps you'd heard of this? I am ready to Attach it with PC7 while held 1/8" above the sealing surface.... Hoping its balanced well enough to stay put. Have you heard of anyone with a different approach?Thanks!John Westerdale
