Rainbow snake dream interpretation

Question

I dream of a rainbow coloured snake, it was the most beautiful snake I had ever seen. It bit me, though it wasn’t like a regular snake bite. It had tiny little teeth and it only bit me because it was trying to teach me a lesson – a lesson not to be afraid of snakes

I started talking to it about my fears, and why I didn't like snakes.

I have a very similar reaccuring dream. My rainbow snake even looks like the dawing, only the colors flow and change. My snake didn't bite me though, it talks to me but i can never remember actual words. I have been told by several people that it represented subconcious knowledge and fertility. Almost all religions (that aren't judeo/christian/muslim)have a creation story involving a snake in a possitive light - not a destructive one.
