  1. it is honestly a very bad idea of you to make a rainbow tour. i have read an article in the frankfurter allgemeine zeitung, which is a conservative german newspaper, and they just stated arguments NOT to go there....like followings: when u enter the bus, you will just have some drunken teens around you. and the hotel will be one of the worst you have even been. with in fact at least 4 people in the room....

  2. h**l, NO! Rainbow is something like a school trip with a youth hostel arrangement! Don't do it! NEVER! You'll never know what to expect on arrival. I did it twice with my girlfriend when I was 23/24, and I felt old among the kiddies. Pay more, and get some decent arrangement with another company. (I'm native German, so it wasn't about my negotiation skills.)

  3. Right, don't do it. They ask the kids to bring their own mixtapes and CDs and they play them on the bus. And they play them very loud.

I wouldn't recommend Rainbow. There are other bus companies that will drive you to Paris for a reasonable price.

Berlin Linien for example charges 143 Euros roundtrip from Berlin to Paris. They also depart from other cities going to Paris. Just check their homepage:

  4. Rainbow Tours will mean bus + hostel. The tours are aimed at the crowd under 20. This might be just your thing, but it definitely wasn't mine, even at 18.

4-bed room means 4-bed room, you share the room with other people, strangers you don't know. Beds will be bunk beds. You and your boyfriend might be allowed to stay together, but you might also have to stay in seperate rooms.

My recommendation: Don't join the tour, spent a bit more money and have a romantic trip together instead. Just you, without some noisy and drunken strangers in tow.
