  1. Well first of all, the park is going to be crowded methinks because of the holiday and the festivities that are going to be taking place at the park. So if you can brave the crowds and waits, by all means go ahead! :)

A quote from the official site about inclement weather:

"Some of our attractions and rides remain in operation despite some rain. We will re-open any closed rides as soon as possible. Wildwater Kingdom will close all water activities when there is a threat of lightning in the vicinity. Dorney Park will close certain activities when lightning or thunder is in the vicinity. This is for the protection of our guests and all activities will re-open as soon as possible. Rainchecks or refunds are not availible."

You can find a link to where that was said here: http://www.dorneypark.com/public/faq/

So pretty much what they are saying is that the park will keep all their attractions operating in somewhat light rain, but in a heavy downpour or lightning, most of their outdoor attractions will close temporarily. So if the weather for Dorney Park says it's going to rain pretty hard or thunder, I'd say try to pick another day without the weather problems...but otherwise if you can't go another day, just go from the opening to closing, because you are bound to at least ride one attraction or two before rain sweeps in. Hope that helped, have fun! :)
