Rainwater hit my eyes with contacts on

Question

It was raining and i was looking up, and a drop of rainwater hit my eyes and i had contacts on.

Am i in trouble of getting an eye infection?

What should i do?

You are fine. It's happened to me many times. Your eyes have the ability to flush out anything that doesn't belong. Just make sure to clean the contacts every night to get rid of deposits, you'll be ok. Now if you told me that you put your finger in your eyes without first washing them that would be another story.....

Very, very unlikely...   Rainwater is about as good as it gets.

No action needed.  One of the recognised advantages of contacts over glasses is walking in the rain...

  It is   extremely unlikely that  you  will get  an eye infection from  rainwater.
