Raise your hand if you know Joy Division?

Question

In another active question, Joy Division was brought up and answerer after answerer said "Who?" or "IDK."

Joy Division was BRILLIANT. Ian Curtis (RIP) had a perfect voice and was an inspired, unique songwriter. One of music's great fallen figures.

They inspired tons of famous acts, including U2, Radiohead, Interpol, and the Cure. Not to mention a pair of great movies (Control, 24 Hour Party People).

So, who loves (or at least KNOWS) Joy Division?

They're my favorite band! I discovered them when I was 13 (which was 2 months ago) and have listened to them everyday since.

I know and like them.  Currently listening to Interpol too.  Songs I love from them are:  Interzone, Warsaw, and Isolation.

Edit: I mean, they have over 570,000 listeners on Last.fm, and that's  way more than Paramore and about as many as Sum 41.

Unknown Pleasures is my favourite album

The Factory show on the collectors edition of Unknown pleasures is just about the greatest live show I've heard.Joy Division live & studio are almost 2 different bands.Bernard Sumner is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time.

Yeah, I know them. I have been listening to them a lot, lately.

They're one of my all time favorite artists. My uncle turned me on to them last year, and I instantly fell in love. Ian had such a great voice, I loved him.

"She's Lost Control" is my favorite by them, "Transmission's" great also.

Yes, I know Joy Division. I wouldn't expect people to know them right away because they aren't/weren't mainstream....but, I would ask that people take a listen. That's the biggest problem around here.

I like them, I have only heard a couple songs so I cant fully judge... but I know they sound good. However Ian's voice isn't really my cup o' tea, still good though.
