Very Typical 70's looking raised ranch with brick for bottom half. Has really wide masonite siding making it even more dated. Currently Black Shutters White Siding Reddish Brick Black/Dark Grey Shingles. Very DATED. Any Color Suggestions. I want something desireable for resale not just what I like. I would do Tan with Dark brown shingles and Green shutters because I always liked that with brick but what do others think of that color scheme. It is in a wooded private setting.

  1. I think that you have a great idea with the brown shades and then the green shutters.  You picked a neutral color, so it will be desirable to potential buyers.  Add some other curb appeal with colorful flowers, keep the grass mowed and fertilized and hopefully you will have a lot of interest in your house.  First thing is to have the exterior of the house to look appealing.  If the exterior shows that it has been taken care of, buyers are more likely to want to see the interior of the house also.   Good luck on getting an offer quickly!

  2. I think tan would be a nice color with the brick but I don't particularly like the idea of green shutters...I would try to find a color close to the bricks...something to tie it in a little with that aspect of the house.
