Question:

Raising american Kestrels?

I have a four egg clutch of American Kestrel eggs. I'm not sure how far along they are in their hatch cycle, but upon candling them I have discovered they are very well developed. I need to know what temperature they should be incubated at and do they need to be turned? Any information you have on raising american kestrels would be very appreciated, please respond quickly.

  1. how did you come across these eggs, they should have been left were you found them, tampering with bird of prey eggs is a offence .How do you plan to feed the babies when(if) they hatch the parents usually eat the raw meat and regurgitate to feed the young .Not a good thing to do.Best thing is to contact a falconer handler or at least a vet and see if they can help to save the birds
