Raising money for Traumatic Brain Injury?

I have been A TBI patient since the age of 8 or 9 depending on how you look at it. Anyway I want to find sponsers to help me with being the first person to base jump angel falls without ever parachiuting before. I need the help of experts in the field of jumping and landing with parachutes. I want to get it done I am an adrinaline junky without an answer to raise awareness of the magnitude of complications associated with massive head trauma's. Write me if you know people who would like to aid in the fund-raiser. Seriously I want to i think it could help the world with this situation.

  1. I think you should run an ad in your local newspaper. That could raise awarenss to many people in your local area. Explain that fundraising for your event is needed. You have to be a legit charity though, people are wary of who they give their money too. Good Luck!

    Since I don't know anything about your condition I'd also suggest speaking to your doctor/treatment team about your plans.

    Assuming all systems are go, I would then suggest writing a letter explaining your intent and sending it to as many base-jumping associations, local businesses, and TBI organizations you can find (Google and the phone book can help you with this!)

    You'll need to have an experienced base jumping "mentor" so set your sights to finding that first (through the base-jumping associations, gear shops, message boards, etc.)
