My friends and I are wanting to save money to save animals, help hunger, and more. It's pretty cold right now to do a carwash... does anyone have a good idea?

  1. Call your local animal shelter and ask if they are having a fundraiser you can help with...they may need people to stuff envelopes, make calls, etc.

  2. Just do the car wash, its for the sake of all the sying people and animals out there!

  3. My daughter and her friend did a doggy-day the other day. It was just about 60 and every dog in the neighborhood was itching to get outside. We have an acre yard and most of it is fenced in. The girl's brought the dogs into the yard and let them run. 1 girl would take a dog for a walk (by itself) and the other would stay to keep an eye on the rest of the dogs playing. Then they would switch positions and take another dog for a walk. Most dogs enjoyed the play time because they got to actully got to run without a leash. Most don't have the freedom to do that at their homes. Anyway after the dogs were walked and had played, my daughter washed a dog and I cut their nails (used to groom dogs) in the tub upstairs and then went to return the dog. Then did the same for each one. They got $40 a dog (because it was 4 hours of fun for the dogs and they came back washed with clipped nails). $40 times 10 dogs. That's $400 to the animal shelter with only one person. Try making some flyers and having a doggy day. Charge $25 a dog and say the money goes to the animal shelter. That's what my girls did. Good luck!

  4. I help raise funds for the SPCA through the sale of indigenous plants. This is a double whammy for me as I get to do the "conservation thing" and raise much needed funds for my feathered, scaled and furry friends. Give it a try.
