Raising money for charity...CAN THIS BE WHY?

ME and my friend want to do some things to raise money for a charity

WE planned a dog walk near her area with an adult tho

MY mum explained to me saying 'its a good idea but who would let two girls and an adult walk their dog for money when they can do it for free'

SO i thought, our families could sponsor us-say 20p for every dog we walk-and maybe a donation would be nice from them

BUT i was re-thinking the whole plan and im not sure

  1. Just make up flyers that say you are offering a dog walking service and that all proceeds go to charity. Let people know you will provide them with a legit receipt.  Them pass the flyers out around your neighborhood, at local pet stores, vets, dog groomers etc...  I'm sure you will get plenty of takers.  Good luck and congrats on trying to be a better person

  2. True, some people would rather walk their dogs for free, but it depends on how much your charging.

If you offer a real competitive price, some people will take you up on it.  Especially if it's for charity.  People are busy with other things.  Help is always welcome, especially if the price is right!

You can also gather up items that you no longer want.  Go around collecting toys, clothes, and other items jthat people dont' need or want anymore.  Have a sale of those items (car boot sale or flea market)

  3. bake cookies and sell them for charity have a garage sale for charity et other kids involved its a great idea your a good kid others could learn from you

  4. Go for it!  Sure people can do it themselves for free, but still if they don't have time, they may be willin to pay.

We pay people to mow our yard...I use to do it, but we don't have time to so we hired people.

It sounds like a great idea =)

  5. do something u think is right and it is really good that u r thinking about other people

  6. Most people -if the money was for charity- would gladly let you walk their dog, they give to charity and get out of walking the dog

  7. it sounds like a good idea to me but theres something that can help try to keep area for big dogs and little dogs (that make dog owner w/ small dogsfeel there dogs won't get its butt kick & big dog owners won't be afaird of have to pay for a injuried little dog)

  8. You are on the right track, why would someone pay you to walk their dog when they can do it for free? It's because they want to make a donation to a charity. Give a lot of thought into which charity you want, not one that's popular, but one that really needs the money.

When I donate to charitable organizations through a second party, I always ask what percentage actually goes to charity. Make sure you let them know 100% is going to the charity, if it really is.

    You rock!
