Raising the ceiling on a 2 story house.. price?!?

We live in a 2 story house, and the ceilings in the living room and dining room are relatively low. However, there are bedrooms above these rooms. What would be the cost to raise the ceiling by a few feet?

i would say $500 you better check around for cheap people $500 would be the cheapest you pay since it takes a day to do it

Quite a bit.... well into 5 figures, maybe 6.  This is not an easy job, and will require some major engineering checks.
