Rajasthan Royals knocked out by Kochi Tuskers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Kerala-c803: Kochi Tuskers Kerala v Rajasthan Royals - 61st Match Recap
The Rajasthan Royals had everything on the line as they took on Kochi Tuskers Kerala in another exciting Indian Premier League encounter.
Shane Warne and Mahela Jayawardene, the captains of the Rajasthan Royals and Kochi Tuskers Kerala respectively, made their way on to the pitch at the Holkar Cricket Stadium for the 61st toss of the IPL.
Jayawardene opted to send the Royals in to bat the first innings, a move that paid dividends as the match progressed.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rahul-c83321 Dravid had the weight of every single Rajasthan fan’s hopes on their shoulders as they walked out to get the match underway.
Things however, were not to go as the pair or in fact their entire team would have hoped, as Fazal was trapped leg before wicket by Singh in the 3rd over and Dravid followed suit on the first delivery of the next over.
Shane http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Watson-c96326 and Rahane also disappointed as the pair were dismissed by 20 and eight runs as Sreesanth and Parameswaran turned the screws.
Menaria’s 31 run knock would be the highlight of a disappointing batting performance from the side as it was the last significant innings by any batsman from the Rajasthan squad since http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Brad-Hodge-c1184 went berserk, taking four wickets in quick succession.
Jacob Oram, Nayan Doshi and Shane Warne were just a few of the batsmen that failed to surpass the two run mark in what can only be described as a batting collapse as the Rajasthan Royals were restricted to a low and frankly embarrassing total of 97 runs
after being bowled out in 18.3 overs.
Brad Hodge was the star of the show giving away just 13 runs in the four overs he bowled and taking four impressive wickets in the process.
Brendon McCullum and Mahela Jayawardene had an easy task of chasing down 98 runs but the aggressive start carried with it an air of complacency as Jayawardene fell in the second over for just six runs and McCullum fell in the fourth over after a quick fire
29 runs, coming off just 12 deliveries.
Patel and Hodge made quick work of the remaining runs as they smashed their way to 21 runs off 14 deliveries and 33 runs off 17 deliveries, reaching the target in just 7.2 overs.
The match ended with the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals hopes of finishing in the top four, well and truly over, as the Tuskers recorded another impressive victory.
