In the 43rd match of the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals have set a target of 148 runs for the Chennai Super Kings at the loss of six wickets at the Chidambaram Stadium.
Rajasthan’s skipper, Shane Warne, won the toss and elected to bat first. Rajasthan exhibited an impressive batting start with their openers, Shane http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rahul-c83321 Dravid.
Giving a tough time to CSK’s opening bowling attack, they set a stable stand of 86 runs in 10.1 overs.
Their first wicket fell when Watson was caught by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shadab-Jakati-c2475 off his own bowling after scoring 32 runs off 26 balls, including five fours.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Murali-Vijay-c78035 off Ravichandran Ashwin’s bowling.
The dismissal of the second wicket in early succession put Rajasthan a little under pressure and resulted in a slight decline in their run-rate.
Dravid was next joined by all-rounder, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Johan-Botha-c67173, but he also failed to handle the tough situation, caught by Suresh Raina off Jakati’s bowling, leaving his side at 109/3.
At this stage CSK’s bowler became completely dominant on Rajasthan’s batting lineup and remained successful in dropping their run-rate as well as their wickets.
Dravid, however, stayed firm on the pitch and kept on gathering runs before he was caught by Vijay off Suraj Randiv’s bowling.
He was the fourth batsman to get out, leaving his side at 117/4 in15.4 overs.
Dravid scored 66 runs off 51 balls, including 10 fours.
Following the fall of this important wicket, Rajsthan’s hopes of setting a big target faded.
The next two wickets also fell in short succession as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taylor-c92915 were dismissed in the same over leaving their side at 139/6.
Hence, Warne’s men ended their innings at 147 runs for the loss of six wickets.
Albie Morkel and Jakati both claimed two wickets each while Ashwin and Randiv claimed one wicket each, conceding 36 and 32 runs respectively.
The 148-run target is highly probable to be manageable for CSK’s strong batting lineup, playing at their home which also serves as an advantage for CSK’s batsmen.
Rajasthan, are at third place in the points’ table with maximum five wins from nine matches.
On the other hand, CSK is placed at the fourth position with five wins from nine matches played so far.
