Rajasthan Royals wants to give a warm farewell to Shane Warne
Middle order batsman of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shane-Keith-Warne-c89672.
Legendary leg spinner has captained the franchise since the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and led them to victory in the very first attempt. However, he announced earlier that the ongoing season is going to be his last and after that
he will retire from all forms of the game.
The Royals are already out of the competition and failed to perform up to the mark this year and they will take on the Indians tomorrow in its last match and the young Rajasthan team wants to win this fixture in order to give a warm farewell to their inspirational
leader.
Rahane said that the legendary leg spinner is extremely dedicated towards the game and never gives up even in the most difficult situations. Left handed batsman admitted that he has learnt a lot from his captain.
Warne’s rivalry with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556 in the field is very popular and the Royals understand that. Rahane said that it is a special match because both the legends will be competing against each other for the last time.
He said, “His (Warne) discipline and dedication towards the game is amazing besides his fighting attitude, I have learnt a lot from him. It is his last match so our efforts will be to give him a winning farewell. We will play for his pride. We know that
Shane Warne will be up against http://cricket.yahoo.com/player/2962 for the last time so it will be a very important match."
Rahane added that the Royals had a young team this season and that’s why they did not do that well. He said that winning and loosing are part and parcel of the game and one should not take it to heart.
"We had a good team and we had worked hard but in cricket sometimes the result is in your favour and sometimes it is not. It is our last game. We know we can't qualify for the playoffs but we would like to finish it on a winning note," Rahane added.
