Rajiv Shukla backs IPL 5 to be a success – Cricket News Roundup – April 24, 2012 – Part 2
Chairman of the Indian Premier League, Rajiv Shukla, has claimed that the fifth edition has, and will garnish fantastic response, despite evident decline in TV ratings from the previous seasons.

The high-voltage tournament has seen an overall drop in the Television Viewers Ratings from the previous season (down from 4 to 3.65), while sponsors have also shown reluctance in associating themselves with the league.
Shukla however, remains adamant that the minor slump has been due to the increase in internet viewership, and believes that it will be better to engage in such talks, once the tournament has concluded.  
"You are trying to analyse it on the basis of one or two weeks," he said in an interview with CNN-IBN. "Let the IPL finish and then I'll talk to you ... none of the sponsors have gone away.”
