Shukla, who is also the manager of Indian cricket team, said that the BCCI does not find Vinod Kambli’s claims to be credible enough to warrant a probe.
"We are not giving any importance to the claims made by Kambli,” said the BCCI vice president, Rajiv Shukla while talking to the media reporters on Saturday. “If a person wakes up after 15 years and makes some allegations, that is not worth taking note of,"
he added further.

"Many of the boards have forgiven players after they were found to be involved in corrupt practices but BCCI has never forgiven such players," said the BCCI vice president, who is also the chairman of the IPL Governing Council.
A couple of days back, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Maharashtra-c811 batsman – had said that India’s decision to bowl first in the 1996 world cup semi-final against Sri Lanka was quite surprising for him and he felt something was 'amiss' in the game.
"I will never forget the 1996 match because my career ended after this and I was dropped from the team. I was stunned by India's decision to field," Kambli had said while taking part in a discussion during a TV programme.
The Lankans were declared winners in that very match after the crowd vented their disgust with the state of the match by setting fire to some areas of the stands and throwing fruit and water bottles onto the field.
The incumbent http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sharadchandra-Govindrao-Pawar-c89751, has also rubbished Kambli’s claims, calling it an “irresponsible and unwarranted” statement.
The Indian sports minister, Ajay Maken, on the other hand, has said that if the BCCI did not probe into the matter then the sports ministry might conduct an inquiry of its own.
