Ram sticks dont work they switch off my keyboard

system specs AMD(tm) 64x2 dual core processer 4400+ 2 30ghz, 1. 00gb of ram ,physical address extension.. right the problem is i cant extend the ram according to the fox dmi utility the system ram is maxed out . iv tried a dozen types of ram none seem to work did the update the bios that didnt work . any ideas ??
