Thereupon he said: 'Ali and the offspring of 'Ali, 'Aqil and the offspring of 'Aqil and the offspring of Ja'far and the offspring of 'Abbas. Husain said: These are those for whom the acceptance of Zakat is forbidden. Zaid said: Yes.

So tell me, where did you get that the wives aren't considered Ahlul Bayt?

  1. I read all the story narrated ,About fourteen masoomeen

I didnt under stand why imamat is given to Hussain (ra) instead of Hasan (ra),

I read tafseer of this ayah in which its said that this ayah refers to wives as well as ,Fatima ,Ali ,hussain and hasan (RA)

wives r included as naratted in this ayah ,but the other four r included as a hadith explains it

so the middle way is that both r included.

  2. well this question requires a lot of knowledge and i dont want to give my opinion cause it might mislead you or goes against the beliefs, however this is what i found regarding ur question, hope it helps

Who are included in the Ahl al-Bayt ?

It has been shown that the Family of the Prophet (s) – interchangeably referred to as the

Ahl al-Bayt, ‘Itrah and Aal - included his daughter Fatima al-Zahra’, her husband Imam

‘Ali, and their children Imams al-Hasan and al-Husayn (‘a). The members of this Family

of five, with the Prophet Muhammad (s) at its head, were the ones alive at the time the

Qur’anic verses regarding their virtue were being revealed to the Prophet (s). However,

nine other Imams from the descendants of Imam al-Husayn (‘a) are also in this chosen

Family, the final one being Imam al-Mahdi (‘a). The Prophet (s) said:

"I and ‘Ali and al-Hasan and al-Husayn and nine of the descendants of al-

Husayn are the purified ones and the inerrant." [al-Juwayni, Fara'id al-Simtayn,

(Beirut, 1978), page 160. Note that al-Juwayni’s greatness as a scholar of hadith has

been attested by al-Dhahabi in Tadhkirat al-Huffaz, volume 4, page 298, and also by

    Ibn Hajar al-‘Asqalani in al-Durar al-Kaminah, volume 1, page 67]

"I am the chief of the Prophets and ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib is the chief of

successors, and after me my successors shall be twelve, the first of them being

‘Ali ibn Abi Talib and the last of them being al-Mahdi." [al-Juwayni, Fara'id al-

    Simtayn, page 160]

"Al-Mahdi is one of us Ahl al-Bayt" and "al-Mahdi will be of my family, of

the descendants of Fatima" [Ibn Majah, al-Sunan, volume 2, page 519, numbers

    4085-6; Abu Dawud, al-Sunan, volume 2, page 207]

What about the Wives of the Prophet (s) ?

The verse of purification "Verily Allah only desires to ... " was revealed to the Prophet (s)

in the house of his wife Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her); the Prophet called

al-Hasan, al-Husayn, Fatima and ‘Ali, and he gathered them together and covered them

with the mantle. Then he said, "O Allah, these are my Ahl al-Bayt, so keep away every

impurity from the Ahl al-Bayt, and purify them with a perfect purification." Umm

Salama said, "Am I with them, O Apostle of Allah?" The Prophet (s) said, "You stay in

your place, and you are virtuous."

    al-Tirmidhi, al-Sahih, volume 5, pages 351 and 663

    al-Hakim al-Naysaburi, alMustadrak

    `ala al-Sahihayn, volume 2, page 416. He states

that it is sahih in accordance with the criteria of al-Bukhari

    al-Suyuti, al-Durr al-Manthur, volume 5, page 197

The beginning of verse 33:33 and subsequent statements are addressed to the wives of the

Prophet (s) as is evident from the feminine pronouns used. However, in the verse of

purification, the gender changes to the masculine or mixed gender. This also shows that it

was an independent revelation addressed to different individuals.

@asker: no problem, i gave u an answer according to our sources so its up to you to accept them or not, but u have decided not to..... and i dont mean to be rude to you in any way or anything, its just that whenever someone asks us a question and we answer them and give them our sources, they reject it and tell us these are all lies etc....so how else are we suppose to answer them, if they reject every single answer we give them? in their minds, they will not believe us no matter what we say, so whats the point in asking? just assume what ever u desire, lets all live our lives and focus on our faith and try to be the best Muslims we can, good night to you sister

  3. wasnt aisha about 9 when mohammed had s*x with her?  he was an old man, ewww, a paedo

  4. Holy Quran says : The wandering Arab said : We believe. Say (unto them O Mohammed): You do not believe, but rather say "We submit", for the faith has not yet entered your heart. (Hujuraat :14)

This ayat makes it evident that without the love of Ahle Bait our faith is incomplete. Allah says, such people have only accepted Islam but are still devoid of FAITH (Imaan).

Some other ayats which prove the importance of Ahle Bait are

    1. Obey Allah obey His Messenger and those of authority from amongst you (Ulul Amr) ... . (Nisa : 59)

    2. I do not ask anything from you, except the love of my kinship. (42: 43)

    3. Your Wali (guardian) can be only Allah; and His messenger and those who believe, who establish worship and pay the poor-rate while they bow. (5:55)

People who forsake Ahle Bait will never enter Heaven

And when We said unto the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam, they fell prostrate, all save Iblis. He demurred through pride and so became a disbeliever. (Bakraah : 34)

Allah commanded the angels to prostrate before Hazrat Adam (a.s.) all prostrated except Iblis. Because he did not bow down and did not except the Mastership (Wilayat) of Hazrat Adam (a.s.) he became a disbeliever. Thus in the same way if we perform best of the deeds; perform Namaz, Hajj, Umrah and keep Fast and perform all other 'Aamal', they will be of no use if we do not accept the Mastership (Wilayat) of Ali ibne Abi Talib (a.s.) and his successors.

Traditions regarding Mastership (Wilayat) of Ali (a.s.) from Ahle Sunnah sources.

These traditions are narrated from Holy Prophet (s.a.w.).

    1. "You are to me as Haroon was to Musa, but there will be no Prophet after me".

iii) Musnad of Imam Ahmed, Vol. 4, P.121.

    5. "Ali is the master of all the believers after me".

Ref.: i) Musnad of Imam Ahmed, Vol. 5, p. 25.

           iii) Sahih al-Tirmidhi, Vol. 5, p.296.

  5. 1. Word Ahlebait is indeed used for wives too in Arabic Language.

    2. But there is a difference between being "Ahlebait of MUHAMMAD" and being "Ahlebait of Taharah"

Ahlebait of Taharah are also known as "Ahlebait of Nabuwwah".

Yahoo is not Allowing To write More Other wise i would have wrote you more than what you want..

For me its answer for you

And sorry im not copy pasteing LOL

And my view is although wives are included into Ahlebait of Muhammad according to common Arabic language, but they are certainly not included into Ahlebait of Taharah (for whom verse 33:33 is revealed.

Therefore, there are only 5 persons who were included into Ahlebait of Taharah and the promise of making them thoroughly clean from Rijz was limited to only these 5 and not to wives.

Till the time we don't make it clear, Sunni brothers will keep on fighting with us on the usage of Ahlebait for wives, while the main Issue in not of their being in Ahlebait, but main issue is either they were too promised to be PERFECTLY cleaned from Rijz (and my answer to this question is ....... NO )

It's time for Shias to stop fighting upon non-issue of wives being part of Ahlebait or not, but to focus that wives of Rasool (saw) were not included into Verse of Purification.

All authentic traditions (Sunni and Shias) are unanimous that this verse was revealed when Rasool (saw) took the 5 under the clock and this verse has nothing to do with the surrounding verses.

Although there is only one Sunni traditon which says that Rasool (saw) allowed Umm Salama to enter the cloack too, but questions are:

    1. How authentic this tradition is as compared to all other numerous traditions? Now it is a historical event and Truth can be only ONE i.e. either she entered, or she didn't enter. We cannot believe in both of them at same time (except for practicing Double Standards)

    2. Therefore, should we accept this Ahad narration and on bases of this we deny all other numerous traditons which reach the level of Tuwattur?

The other narrations reach tawatur? That's impossible. Tawatur is achieved when many Sahabah narrate the same incident. This incident was narrated by Umm Salamah, Aishah and Wathilah, may Allah be pleased with them. There may have been a few others. But this is not mutawatir.

There is not only one narration that includes Umm Salamah. So far, I have seen two. One from Imam Ahmad's Musnad and another from Imam Qurtubi quoting Al-Qushayri. There are also narrations where Wathilah Ibn Asqa asked if he was from them and the Messenger replied "you are from my family.".

In addition, I have not found one narration that excludes Umm Salamah. Some of them say "You are righteous" etc. but none of them say "No".

Therefore, since none of the Hadith Kisa exclude the wives but some include them explicitly, it is more likely that they are included. You cannot base your judgement of "who is the verse of purification referring to" from this Hadith.

Pickthal 33:33] And stay in your houses. Bedizen not yourselves with the bedizenment of the Time of Ignorance. Be regular in prayer, and pay the poor-due, and obey Allah and His messenger. Allah's wish is but to remove uncleanness far from you, O Folk of the Household, and cleanse you with a thorough cleansing.

Innama (verily or only) signifies exclusive distinction. To emphasise this exclusiveness, the second object of the verb yudh-hiba (keep off)-the phrase ankum (from you)-has been put before the first object rijs (uncleanness); and for further emphasis, the phrase Ahl ul Bayt has been mentioned to explain the pronoun ankum (from you). The grammatical structure of the whole clause indicates that this a unique privilege or distinction granted to the Ahl ul Bayt only, excluding all others.

This verse is a preface to verses 77 to 79 of al Waqi-ah: "Verily this is an honourable (Karim) Quran, in a hidden (preserved) book, which no one can touch save the purified."

The verb yuridu implies that the continuous will or intention of Allah is His creative will or intention, not legislative. To interpret the will as the legislative will as in Ma-idah: 6, distorts the whole fabric of the verse and renders meaningless the exclusive particle and the constructional arrangement. Even then it means that only the Ahl ul Bayt exclusively achieved the standard.

The Ahl ul Bayt had only been thoroughly purified by Allah because of their total submission to Allah's will and their state of being always in communion with Allah.
