Ramadan: I have a problem, I need some opinions..?

Question

I got my period today so i cannot fast.

But, I do not want my dad to know this so should i wait until he goes to work to eat, or would that be lying?

And if he asks if I'm fasting what do I say?

It would feel akward to tell him...

well if he asks u.....u can say that u r not feeling well.....that is not a lie....tell him that....don't hide anything.....or u could tell ur mom or if u have an elder sister who can then tell it to ur dad just as to avoid the awkwardness of the situation

First off, my dear, it is PERFECTLY OK, for you to do EVERYTHING while on periods e.g. Salat, Fasting and even Hajj.

The ONLY thing that a person is NOT allowed while being on periods is: s*x.

Besides that EVERYTHING is allowed.

But as you may be a traditional Muslim, following the usual Hadith stuff. Then you may wait, till your dad is out and then eat and drink as per your like.

But in MY opinion, you should fast. Periods have got no relation to fasting and prayers.

there are many ways

1st u can stop fasting till the period ended and it's ok to say that u r not fasting and u will fast another days.

2nd u  can stop fasting and if ur dad asks you r u fasting today u ansewer thanks god or ELHAMD LLAL some thing he understand u r while u mean in ur heart u r not

u can stop the period by medicine and fast it's ok and halal to do so like bulliets used to stop women to get pregnant it can used to stop or avoid period in ramadan

lol, just hope that he does not ask. the best thing to do is to let him know...it does not necessarily have to be in a direct way. when he is not in the kitchen, make yourself some food. he will hear the noise, and if he sees you eating or thinks you are, then he should guess why you are aeting,lol, my dad always finds out, your dad might too. i know you must be embarrassed, but God did not command you to fast during that time, doesnt that mean theres a reason for that? so eat, and no, if you waited till your dad left to eat, that would not be lying, your not tricking anybody.just dont lie, thats all.

My dear daughter salam for you.You  are a  very good daughter of your parents. You respect and love your father so you do not demonstrate in front of your dad that you are not fasting today because you have your period.You are so polite so you will eat when your father has gone to the office. Lying is not allowed by Allah.You  should tell your father honestly if he encountered you are not fasting or you are questioned about your fasting. Your father will not angry with you because he is wise and he knows that it is naturally for a woman to have period.
