Kul sana wintu salmeen! I wish everyone a happy and healthy month of Ramadan. I do have a question though... I'm 3 months pregnant, but I want to fast, my Dr. doesn't recommend it. Will I be hurting the baby if I fast.

  1. Don't do it, cuz you want your baby to come out healthy right..my friend is 2 month pregnant and she isn't going to fast so..You will have to fast them after though when you are able to!

  2. ramadan mubarak to you

  3. If your Doc doesn't feel it's safe for the baby, then you shouldn't. You have to make it up anyways so do it at another time.

  4. ASALAMMALIKUM SISTER im also pregnant I'm going to fast, but if at anytime i feel that by doing so im endangering my child and my own health its permissible  to brake the fast, it is also ok if you don't fast. just keep in mind that you will have to make up for the missed fast later on, but if your are breastfeeding the same thing applies.

    Ramadan Mubarak to you to

May ALLAH protect you and your baby. MARSALLAH Congratulation.

  5. Ramadan Mubarak to you ..

you should not fast this Ramadan ..

Allah dont want you to put your baby live in danger .. so the pregnant women can not fast at Ramadan .. and fast after giving birth when she be healthy and could fast ..

  6. ramadan mubarak to you as well. i don't think you should fast. you want your baby to be healthy and you dr doesn't recommend as well, so you should listen to him. then fast after you have the baby when you can.

good luck to you. i wish you the best

  7. ramadan kareem to you too gigi .

do what you think its the best , Islam is not strict .

  8. Here in SaudiArabia.. women tend to want to fast regardless of what there docters say..

but my doctor told me NOT to fast and this was the reason..

The baby gets results of anything you do.. So if you are fasting, your fetus is fasting.. .. ask yourself? Would you normally subject a 3mo old fetus to a fast?.. Why does Allah not allow children to fast until they are older? Cause they need all the nutrients they can get, cause they are growing.. When you fast, you are depriving that growing baby from getting constant nutrients.. And when people say.. OH, I have enough reserve in my body to help the baby.. Well maybe for a day, but for 30days? NOWAY.. and its proven when you fast, you are releasing poisons and toxins from your body thats built up over the year.. these can pass into the babies blood stream and might give it a toxic shock....

JUST dont fast during your pregancy.. Eat a normal healthy diet.. dont overdo it.. but definately listen to your doctor!

    Congrats on the pregancy! ^_^
