Ramadan: Was Muhammad (pbuh) an Arab?

Question

I am just awed with the things people come up with. We all know prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was from to tribe of Quraish of Makkah. Now, I've heard claims that he came from "Hijaz" and is a Hijazi and not an Arab. Hejaz is a relatively new term used to describe the Western part of Saudi Arabia. For those who claim Muhammad (pbuh) was not an Arab, care to enlighten me?

The Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasalaam was an Arab- but in Islam ethnicity means nothing what matters is the truth. Many of the anbiyya were ethnically Jewish - do we reject or judge their message based on their race (audhobillah)

What everyone Arab or non-Arab has to rememeber is what the Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wasalaam taught

"All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves."

Hejaz is the barrier. Hejaz was the area where Mecca, Medina and all are. The people are arab but they are called hijazi because of the area they are from.

Just like how people are Syrians,Palestinians,Jordanians, Lebanese, but they are still Arab.

several hadiths referr to mohammad as being white, however if they are listed. muslims will just have them deleted.

Hijaaz is located in the western province of what is currently Saudi Arabia. It is a part of the ‘Arab land and its inhabitants are ‘Arab.
