What if the Music is in praise of Allah in devotional singing?

Spiritual music and elegant non erotic dance was never developed in Arabia. The only music they knew was the belly dancing type that aroused the senses. Isnt this a classic example of throwing out the baby with the bath water? Try to answer without involving yr egos.

  1. It is a matter that leads to weakening the hearts and abandoning the Dhikr of Allaah and the prayer. Although there are some Scholars who say along as the music does not have an affect on the person and lyrics are free from negative words, it is okay, however I adopt the first view.

Sayed-ur-Rahman Niazi, the cleric at Kabul's central mosque which attracts 50,000 worshipers during weekly Friday prayers, was quoted by Chicago Tribune as having said this very strong anti-music statement:

"It's completely rejected by Islam. Someone who goes to listen to music is guilty of adultery. It's the same thing. And someone who enjoys it should be kicked out of Islam. He's no longer a Muslim."

My personal thought is that Satan HATES music, and since Islam was invented by Satan he outlawed music for Muslims.

  4. some muslims think if u listen to music that swears and talks about bad things then u will become like that thats why they dont like music

  5. EVERYTHING is haram

  6. as ninja said.

its been forbidden. the use of insturments. the use of voice is differnet, as aisha used to sing to the prophet (SAW) but insturments and singing about pointless things about the dounia is waste of time.

songs of praise of allah cant have instruments in the background the voice is enough

@@ Sawn listen to musci, and forgetting your freligious obligation is not a good deed.

i am sure you have listened to music and you have bought cds ,and in here you are issuing ignorant fatwas

  8. songs of praise and devotion etc are not within the bounds of islam, this is called bidaa (innovation) in our religion. we do not need to mimic the christians in their hymns and whatnot, we are content in our own religion and the ways of our prophet , peace and blessings be upon him

  9. Peace

Not Some Muslims, all muslims must consider it haraam. If the music which has any other instrument apart from the drum and or makes u want to dance; then it is considered haram.

The music which praises allah and the prophet and has 1 drum beat and doesnt encourage u to dance is allowed.

Remember the prophet said "people of my ummah will try to make things halal, when it is not"

Anything including the belly dancing is haraam. though it is classic it was something used by the pagans at the time of prophet and which has carried on ever since.

    Peace
