  1. If u can then u should have to fast , i have seen many woman's who are their 5 to 6 month pregnancy and they fasting , if u feel some day not well then do not fast after you deliver a baby and when u feel ok then u fast all of your missing fasts

  2. If you can, do both - make it up later and pay in charity.

Zaid ibn Khalid Juhni related that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: He who provides for the breaking of the Siyam (fasting) of another person earns the same merit as the one who was observing Siyam without diminishing in any way the reward of the latter. (Tirmidhi)

  3. No you dont need to fast,  but after delivery you must cover up the days you missed [ most  probably you gonna miss the whole month ]

so 30 days you should cover up..

    May Allah bless you..

    Salam..

  4. you do not need to fast. allah does not tell you too. you may be able to but think of the baby that you are holding. can the baby handle it. it is better if you do not. you can make it up later.

may allah bless you and your baby

  5. You don't have to fast if you feel it will affect your health or the health of the baby. Contrary to what others have told you, you do not need to make these fasts up, you just have to feed a poor person for each day you did not fast.

The reason for this being if you are pregnant this Ramadan and then breastfeeding the next (another reason your permitted not to fast) that would mean 60 days of fasting to make up. And say if you got pregnant again by the third Ramadan in succession, then breastfed that baby that would be 120 days of fasting you would have to make up. And Allah has made it easy for you in that these days do not have to be made up.

Peace to you sister and Insha Allah you have a wonderful pregnancy and a joyous birth.

  6. if u can...u should fast...bc ur going to get lazy after ramadan to fast a whole month by yourself....fasting with everyone else..you will feel encouraged......but if  u fast and on some days u are not feeling well than break ur fast.....good luck and congrats...

  7. I'm not a scholar, and that's who you should ask, but I'm pretty sure that you're not supposed to fast when you're pregnant (just like you're not supposed to fast during your time of the month or if you have certain types of diabetes etc.) as it could have an adverse affect on the baby that you don't know about.

  8. You can cover your missed fasts later in life insha'Allah.

The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said: "Allaah has relieved the travelers of fasting and half of the prayer, and the pregnant and breast-feeding women of the fast". [Ahmad, and others]. Allaah Says (which means): {…So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them]-then an equal number of days [are to be made up] …}[Quran 2:184].

If such a woman fears only for the baby, then she has to pay an expiation (i.e. feeding a poor person) in addition to making up the missed days at later date.

. Pregnant or breast-feeding women, if they fear for their children can do likewise'. [Abu Daawood]

Therefore, if you fear for yourself then you may break or miss your fast and should make it up later and you are not obliged to pay an expiation for it.

    Rest Allah knows the best~!

  9. Those who think to fast if one can are wrong. Pregnancy is not like illness.....its a process of bringing and new life into the world. When Allah gives a concession why to disobey.............Fasting spirit is to please Allah so one should follow whatever Allah wants us to do............need not to show our muscles to Allah.

  10. me personaly i dont recomend fasting while pregnant cuz being hungry and straving the baby can cause stress which leads to pre mature birth.  you can always make it up after. allah knows your intention.

  11. You don't have to fast during pregnancy but you need to make it up eventually.  You have to fast for the days you missed after the baby arrives.  You can also feed the poor to compensate.
