  1. That's unfair.

    I'm from Iraq.

  2. I think its unfair.

  3. Part of participating in the Olympics is agreeing to the rules set up by the games officials.

If you can't play along with those, you shouldn't be involved.  If you don't like it, then tough.  You shouldn't get a pass if you can't play by the same rules as everybody else.

And I just saw a thing on TV where the Iranian men's Olympic basketball team was playing an exhibition game in the US with guys who were NBA hopefuls (like, they were on expansion teams or whatever.)

If Iran can get it together and play with the NBA in the US, why can't Iraq follow the same rules so they can participate?  It's good to have a standardized set of rules that everybody has to follow, and if you don't like it, well, see ya in 2012...maybe...

  4. I think this ( their decision )  is more of a protest against America helping Iraq than a valid barring of Iraq.  Remember..many of the Olympic committies are driven by politicians and politicians are often control freakish sorts of people...and most of the world hates America and blames everything on America even though  America is not responsible for people such as Saddam and his serial rapist muslims sons...  we just want people NOT like him to control good countries such as Iraq.

  5. omg that is totally unfair Iraq totally deserves to be in the Olympics I'm so mad right now poor my country oh well maybe next time they will

  6. It's unfair, it is not the Iraqi citizens' fault for the political turmoil they are in right now.

  7. thats not fair

    why would the do that

    give details

  8. If sport and national anthems are haram, then it's a good thing.

But if sports and national anthems are halal, then it's a sad thing.

I personally think it's unfortunate as they would have got a lot of admiration just for being there.

  9. I think its unfair!

why are they not allowed to participate?

I mean world should try to get them come to the front to involve in other things, at least for a while, from fights, killings, blood and weapons!

Edit: I might change my view after answer of Umhuda!

every member of a team should be treated equally and that is with the IOC teams!

  10. Salam for you. No it is  completely unfair why Iraq atletes could not participate in the olympics  as long as they  really want to participate in it .IOC plays discrimination and makes unjustice decision / It should be protested.

  11. its unfair to the athletes but Iraq did break IOC rules by replacing its national Olympic panel with members not recognized by the IOC.  They should have known this could possibly lead to problems and if they had the athletes best interests in mind they would not have risked it in the first place.  Every country has to abide by the laws set up by the IOC and no country is above them.
