Ramdin anticipates his return to West Indies side
Denesh Ramdin, who was axed from the West Indian side after his dismal performance in 2010, has proved his worth in domestic competitions and is hoping to be recalled soon by the selectors to represent his country.
Ramdin is a regular wicketkeeper of Trinidad and Tobago (T&T), has worked hard with the gloves and the bat in the domestic cricket this season. He sparkled with the bat representing T&T and scored 460 runs at an average of 41.81 runs in his eight appearances
at the crease. He was one of the best wicket keepers in the competition and got away with 27 victims.
"I have been working hard over the last couple of months", Ramdin told the
Trinidad Express. "The selectors said that I haven't been getting runs but so far I scored runs in the middle and I am just waiting for a call".

Ramdin has played 42 Test matches and has scored 1482 runs at an average of 22.80, the best of 166 runs with eight fifties. He has 119 catches and three stumping to his credit.
He has appeared in 81 One Day International (ODI) matches and has scored 899 runs at an average of 19.54 runs with the best of an unbeaten 74 runs with two fifties. He has 109 catches and five stumping to his credit.
The glove man took part in 52 T20 matches and has scored 561 runs at an average of 17.53 runs with a best score of 44 runs. His wicket keeping in this version of cricket has earned him 41 catches and 10 stumpings.
He was an important member of the Caribbean side until he last represented them against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 in the Barbados Test from 26th -29th June, 2010. West Indies lost that match by seven wickets and the series by 2-0.
Ramdin scored 63 runs in five innings at a poor average of 15.75 runs with the best of 27 runs in that series. His performance with the gloves was also disheartening, as he could take just three catches behind the wickets with a single stumping in three
Tests.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Carlton-Baugh-c49264 took over from him ever since then and he has worked hard to register his place in the team, and, Gordon Greenidge has assisted him during this period.
He has shown his form both with the bat and behind the wickets with a fine display in both departments in the current domestic season.
The T&T Cricket Board President, Azim Bassarath, has given him full support and advocated for his return to the national side.
"What more must Denesh Ramdin do to attract the attention of the regional selectors? What more must a cricketer do to show he is able, fit, ready and in form?", Bassarath said during the press launch of the TTCB Premiership Twenty20 Cricket Festival at the
National Cricket Centre in Balmain.
Ramdin is sure he will be recalled by the West Indian soon and it might be in the upcoming series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
