Rameez Raja Jr vows to make an international return – Cricket News Update
Out of favour Pakistani batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rameez-Raja-c2277 Jr, vows to make a comeback to the national team by performing well in the upcoming Faysal Bank Super-Eight T20 Tournament in Rawalpindi.
The young batsman from Karachi did exceedingly well in the previous version of the event, which was held in Faisalabad last year. The right-handed top order batsman was named as the Best Batsman in that tournament and as a result of that, he was selected
for Pakistan’s tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045. However, Raja failed to make an impression in international cricket.
Consequently, Raja was dropped from the national team and had to go back to domestic cricket to prove his worth but he has not scored many runs in the on-going season.
The Faysal Bank Super-Eight T20 Tournament is going to start from the 25th of March, 2012 in Rawalpindi and the youngsters are geared up to perform well in the event as it can help them to catch the eyes of the selectors. Raja also feels that
he can enhance his chances of selection for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World T20 2012 if he is able to deliver the goods in the domestic T20 event.  
While speaking to pakpassion, Raja expressed that he is not happy with his performances in the season so far but wants to make amends in future.
Raja said, "This season was just okay, because I didn't perform as well as last season, where I did really well in all formats. I tried my level best for my team and I almost reached the semi-finals for the 50 over ODI tournament with State Bank as well.
So, I am not entirely satisfied as I know I could have done better."
The right-handed batsman also played for Barisal Burners in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and was all praise for the organizers. He feels that BPL is going to give a boost to cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747.
"Even though Bangladesh is not known as a prominent name in International cricket, yet they managed to organize a really good tournament and it was a great experience for me,” he added.
