Chelsea’s midfielder, Ramires has gone on to insist that the Blues are in line to have a long season ahead of them, as they look to follow up on and improve on last season’s performances.
The London based club just got back from their pre season tour and despite the team not performing to the best of their abilities, they still managed to play a number of games as a unit.
When talking about the pre season, Ramires is reported to have said: "The games were a good test; the team did well, we lost the last two games, but we worked hard"
"It's a bit soon to worry too much about performances; this is pre-season so the main focus is on fitness.”
“It took a while to get back into it, but I tried to do my best and enhance my fitness levels in order to be in the best possible shape as soon as I can."
The Brazilian then admitted that he is looking to build on his personal performances, following his phenomenal displays last season.
"I will try to repeat my performances of last season, or even better them if possible, but it's not just about me, it's important we improve as a team"
However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ramires-c30523 ended by admitting that this coming season won’t be a walk in the park for the team, given the fact that they won the Champions League last season.
Chelsea will need to pick up at least one trophy this coming term, if they are to follow up on their performances and in order for that to happen, the team is going to have to really push themselves.
As a result, this coming season won’t be an easy affair for the team and Ramires feels the same way.
"It will be a long, hard season, and after everything we achieved last year expectations will understandably be high.”
With a number of new players now coming into the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 squad, it is a wait to see just how the team ends up performing and if they can actually follow up on last season’s success or not.
