a decision that has already been backed by Ramirez...
Chelsea’s Brazilian midfielder Ramirez has come out and backed the club’s decision to give a two year contract to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo after the London club was led to their first European Cup triumph by the Italian manager along
with a special F.A Cup final triumph as well.
Di Matteo took over at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 as their interim manager after Andre Villas Boas’ departure from the club and changed the club’s fortunes as Chelsea went from being underdogs in the UEFA Champions League to eventual winners.
Di Matteo put confidence back into the players at the club and gave more starts to the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044. In the end it was the core of the Chelsea squad with players such as Ivanovic, Lampard, Ramirez and
Terry along with Didier Drogba who led the Blues to their first ever final win in the Champions League.
Now Chelsea are on their way to rebuild their squad with Drogba already parting ways with the club and Terry and Lampard on the wrong side of thirty, the new arrivals such as Hamsik are believed to be the future of Chelsea.
Ramirez said, "Chelsea's board made the right decision, it would have been a risk to do anything different. A different manager would need time to know the players and might not adapt. Di Matteo managed to make Chelsea play the
way he planned and won the world's most important club competition. Thus, he deserves to be regarded as one of the most important managers nowadays."
At first it was believed that Chelsea will overlook Di Matteo and go straight for Pep Guardiola as the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 coach left the Catalan club only recently. But in the end common sense has prevailed at Stamford Bridge and
now with the most of the summer transfer window at his disposal, it will be interesting to see which players Di Matteo opts to bring in.
