The Spaniard has criticized the way Los Blancos have performed under his successor, taking a jibe at the club’s current management.
Former Real Madrid president, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ramon-c30533 Calderon, is quite unhappy with the current Santiago Bernabeu regime and had several things to say about the Spanish giants.
Calderon served as president of the nine-time European champions until 2009, before handing over the post to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Boluda, who was replaced by Florentino Perez shortly afterwards.
The reason for his departure was his own resignation, which came into effect as a result of vote-rigging allegations.
The former supremo’s time at the Spanish capital saw Los Merengues achieve a fair amount of success under the management of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Capello and Bernd Schuster. His time was also quite controversial as the Spaniard was known for his notorious statements while
addressing the press.
Nevertheless, while shedding light at the current situation of the Spanish champions, Calderon pointed out a number of matters which the Whites are currently dealing with.
Firstly, the 61-year-old discussed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-c9622 Ronaldo’s problems at the club and suggested that the Spanish giants should consider selling the former Manchester United man. In addition to this, the ex-president stressed upon Jorge Mendes’s growing influence
over Los Vikingos.
Being the agent of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Mendes, has a significant role to play at the Spanish capital.
According to Eurosport magazine, while talking about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mendes-c25206, Calderon mockingly quoted:
"Jorge Mendes [Ronaldo's agent] is now the club president, without having been elected by the board, they left the club in his and Mourinho's hands."
Continuing the discussion, the lawyer went on to discuss http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-c30950 Kaka’s problems at the Santiago Bernabeu.
He revealed that Real Madrid had the chance to sell the player in his first year, however, he stated that it was Perez’s decision to keep hold of him and now he must find a solution.
"We tried to sign him [Kaka] in the first year, but we couldn't and in the second year we could have, but the scouting reports we unfavourable for various reasons. Florentino decided to sign him, and now he has to find a way to solve the problem with the
club," he added.
