Former Los Blancos president shared that the Santiago Bernabeu based outfit have started badly in the 2012/13 La Liga campaign but believes there is no need to make it a soap opera.
From a possible 12 points, Jose Mourinho’s men have taken just 4 points after being consigned to two hapless defeats against Getafe and Sevilla. Performances of the reigning Spanish giants have seen criticism pour in from every direction as Madridista stand
concerned.
Former president, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ramon-c30533 Calderon, took out time to reflect on the topic, stating that he is concerned about the news coming from the Santiago Bernabeu. He acknowledged the return of 4 points is not ideal, but called in for patience by the fans as there is
no need to make a scene out of it.
Calderon claimed that there is a lot of time until the end of the season, and expects a lot more twists and turns in the tale before Real Madrid relinquish their title, if such a time comes.
“Without a doubt I’m very worried about what is happening. It’s not the ideal start although we must not make a drama out of it,” he said while talking to RAC1.
“There are still a lot of games left and there will be a lot of twists and turns, but it seems there has been some relaxation.”
The summer transfer window witnessed Real Madrid add http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Essien-c25294 being brought in as auxiliary support. Calderon pointed out that whilst the roster has remained largely unchanged, the coaching staff will have to answer
for the poor performances.
“The squad is the same as last season, with some top-class players, so the coaches will need to explain the reasons for this,” the experienced lawyer stated.
Continuing on the topic, Calderon claimed that Jose Mourinho’s constant criticism of players in the media is doing more damage than anything good, and would not begrudge any player if they could denounce the Special One.
“Mourinho’s words do not help anyone or resolve things and any player could rightly claim right now that he did not have a Coach.”
