In wake of his side’s poor start of the season, Ramos has come out in the open to admit that they have been failing, but also claimed that Los Blancos deserve to be the current La Liga champions.
While Real Madrid were crowned as champions of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 after a three-year break, they were expected to start the season phenomenally this time round.
However, things have not been going in their favour when it comes to the Spanish La Liga.
Despite winning the Supercopa de Espana, Real Madrid have not been performing at their best in the Spanish La Liga.
Right at the start of the campaign, Real Madrid drew the very first fixture against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863.
Later, Madrid had to face Getafe and Mourinho couldn’t guide his men even to a draw, as they lost the match 2-1 while being away from home.
The Spanish champions were then crowned as the winners of Supercopa de Espana and after regaining confidence, they were able to win the third La Liga game against Granada.
After losing four points out the available nine, Real Madrid are currently sitting five points behind their arch rivals, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, who are currently at the top of the table by winning all their respective La Liga games.
Since Madrid are considered to be the favourites to win the title because of their run in La Liga last season, Ramos said:
“Normally we would be but I don’t really want to comment on it. In football you can’t live in the past and have to show things day-in-day-out.”
However, Ramos also claimed that last year they were able to accomplish things which were next to impossible.
While speaking about the previous season, the Spanish defender said:
“It’s true that last year we achieved things that were practically unbeatable and we had an unbelievable season.”
“It was a title we very much deserved and now we must defend it. As a minimum we have to do things equally as well, to keep earning the respect of our opponents that we have always had, and carry on winning trophies.”
Real Madrid will be facing Sevilla in their next La Liga fixture, which means that Ramos will be against his former club.
