Does anyone else think that Rampage wasn't going all out in that fight?

  1. Yeah, he was going all out.  Why would't he?  It was a title fight.  He underestimated Forrest Griffin who is getting better and better.  He's a brawler and he's tough (two things you can't be taught) and he's learning how to hone all that to b/c better in the cage.

Add: Even Rampage said that the leg didn't alter the rest of the fight.  But, either way Forrest kept kicking that leg.  I mean he's a smart fighter.  You do what works for you and guess what?  He's the light heavy weight champ now b/c of it.

  2. It looked like he was going all out in the first round.  When his leg got hurt in the second round though it looked like it slowed him quite a bit.  It is har to attack if you can't shift your weight to the front leg.

  3. i said forrest would beat  jackson

  4. a champion doesnt deserve to lose like that,

the benefit of the doubt always goes to the champion

and in this case it was such a close fight ,

the second round screwed it for jackson , and there

should be an IMMEDIATE rematch with cecil peoples

one of the judges , hopefully it happens and the lesson

is once it goes to the judges its like flipping a coin,

**** if they have penaly kicks in soccer why not

an arm wrestling contest to determine the winner

  5. Rampage got his left leg taken out in the second round. Since a fighter's punches all come from the power in the legs, it severely hampered Rampage's abilities, and he had to be more protective of himself.

  6. he did underestimate forrest but yesterday i went to a sports bar and there was all white people and they were like some racist **** they would only root for the white ppl if they werent white they were booed so thats probably my last time going there

  7. Of course he underestimated Forrest..look at him, then look at Forrest.  Looks like no contest.

I was one of the few that gave Forrest a shot.  Mind you, I did not go as far as saying Forrest would win, but I did say don't count him out.

If Rampage doesn't get his leg hurt, who knows what would have happened.  But fact is, Forrest hurt the leg....strategy or luck, it worked.

It was still a pretty close fight, and while I was thrilled with the outcome, I could have seen it going to Rampage just as easily, since those decisions usually heavily favor the champ.

When Rampage landed those powerful shots in the first round that knocked Forrest down but not out...I think that is the moment Rampage wished he had not underestimated Forrest.

However, I think Rampage was going all out, it just wasn't enough, especially after the leg got hurt.  Forrest is the energizer bunny of MMA, he can take plenty of lickin..

  8. He was going all out.Its just that Forest got him with a couple of really good leg kicks that took him out of his game plan.  You do know he was fighting for his title?

  9. Kamnet if you knew Rampage you wouldnt say all fighters punch with there legs, its more of a combined effort like Rampage said on Sport Science "I punch from mah ***" and I agree I don't think Rampage was going all out EVEN before the Leg incident, he wasn't all that aggresive, Nor was he after he said his leg felt a slight bit better.
