Ramprakash shocked by Pietersen’s off-field decisions – Cricket News Update
Former England batsman, Mark Ramprakash has said that the under fire Kevin Pietersen has made some shocking decisions off the field and has urged the veteran to decide what he really wants to do with his international career.
“Kevin is making some shocking decisions off the field,” said the 42-year-old former Hertfordshire cricketer during an exclusive interview to Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“He has to get his head screwed on and think long and hard about what he wants. He needs to clear his head and decide what’s important to him,” Ramprakash added further.

It’s not only the text scandal that is embroiling the combative batsman, but he also finds himself in trouble for publically complaining of unrest in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 team dressing room. After finding himself at the centre of a number of controversies, Pietersen posted a video on YouTube revealing he was ready to come out of limited-overs international cricket retirement. But that was not enough to earn him regain the faith of the ECB selectors.
The Natal-born lanky batsman, who had scored a match saving century during the second Investec Test against the Proteas, at Headingley last week, has been told by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) that he will not be selected for international duty, in any format of the game, until he apologises over sending those derogatory texts.
“The ECB has put up with quite a lot that has been out in the public domain. Kevin has chosen to do these things, the video, etc, in the public domain and thahttp://www.senore.com/Cricket/Thomas-George-Burrows-c93472’s one thing I can’t understand,” said Ramprakash in a miffed tone.
However, he said that if KP apologises then the ECB should welcome him in the team.
“If he apologises he could go on to become one of the greats, not just of English cricket, but of world cricket,” Ramprakash added further.
