Rancho Banderas.

Its not really anything more than a beach club.  There are bungalows and hotel room on premise.  It is located about 40 min north of PV, and north of Nuevo Vallarta.  Its very nice, and the beaches are nicer towards Rancho Banderas than towards Vallarta.  The further towards the tips of the bay the nicer and nicer the water is.  However, about activiites and attractions, you need to go towards the center.  Vallarta Adventure is a cool eco tourism company with lots of things to do over @ Nuevo Vallarta.  South of the city you can go to the Valalrta Zoo, And chicos paradise.  The conchas chinas areas is very pretty and has some awesome views of the bay.  There is excellent golf.  El Tigre is really good.  Deep sea fishin is great.  Scuba DIving is also really good.
