Random access memory question?

Question

trying to open a template in Adobe Photoshop 6 ..the document won't open saying that there is not enough RAM. I only got the net open when i tried to open this document ..and its 3.5 MB this computer has 1024 MB ? whats up?

When there's not enough RAM, it means that there are other applications or programs that might be using up some of the RAM. Adobe Photoshop sucks up quite a bit of RAM itself. You might want to try to close some other programs that might be running like Virus scanners (also take up quite a bit of ram) or firewalls and such. Just shut them down temporarily while your trying to open the temp. If you can't find out whats taking up all the RAM, go to Task Manager and "Processes" Tab and shut down some things from there.
