ok theres like what two layers to a banana

theres the skin then theres the the stuff under the skin.

whats that called and how does it get there?

  1. The last one was an obvious joke.

    Its called the "pith"

    Its just the protective thick layer of the skin. Thats how it grows.

    Most fruits have them. Citrus especially. You can see it in oranges and lemons. Any thick-skinned fruits, the thick part is the pith.

    But its very bitter, so I wouldn't eat it if I were you.


  2. The "stuff" inside the banana peel is called the flesh. It forms there when the banana is growing on the tree.

    To be technical, the peel is called the epidermis, the flesh inside is called the parenchyma tissue, and those stringy things that cling to the flesh are called the fibrovasular bundles

  3. It's called banana stegmata.  You use it when you want to summon satan's spirits
