  1. female heirs were few and far between and also, if you came to power because of an "accident" that befell the previous heir it would behoove you to ensure that everybody recalls the event as an accident (to the point it is put down as such in history books). Do you really think that that many died of illnesses (poisoning), riding accidents (subtle assassinations), suicide (now they aren't even trying), or were lost at sea(more like thrown overboard)? Women being expected to be more domestic actually provided less opportunity for assaination and thus it appears that they lasted longer as heirs. Keep in mind that a healthy king with an ambitious heir might find he must "mourn" his son's "accidental" death so that his son doesn't mourn his.

  2. The death rates for women are lower than those for men at all ages--even before birth. Although boys start life with some numerical leverage--about 115 males are conceived for every 100 females--their numbers are preferentially whittled down thereafter. More boys than girls die in infancy. And during each subsequent year of life, mortality rates for males exceed those for females, so that by age 25 women are in the majority.

The fact that women live longer than men does not, however, mean that they necessarily enjoy better health. It could be that women live with their diseases, while men die from them. There are no definitive answers to this question. But the available evidence implicates behavioral as well as biological differences between the sexes, differences in the effects of medical technology, as well as social and psychological are all factors that contributes the mortality rate difference between male and female.

  3. stress?

  4. because they decided to stay faithful to females while another Son was born besides Jesus

  5. Well, have you ever seen the royal family tree? it doesn't branch.

Hemophilia is a very common thing in royalty expecially because of this. Since males are the ones who are affected by this, it's not hard to guess why so many would die young.
