Question:

Random freezing and rebooting?

i have a custom built computer with asus am2 croshair motherboard a 500 watt antec power supply 2 gigs ddr2 corsair xms and a xfx 7950 gt graphics card. not to long ago my computer started randomly freezing every time i try starting it and after it would freeze it would shut off every once in a while it will work and as long as it stays on it works fine i reformatted thinking that was the problem but it is still doing the same thing it worked fine at my friends but as soon as i brought it to my house it started doing the same thing i took it to another friends it worked fine then it started doing the same thing so i am thinking it is my power supply or motherboard any insight is greatly appreciated

  1. sounds like a memory problem,,,try changing the ram first...see how it runs...the  nvidia gt card caused the exact same problem u described in my pc....i said ram first cause it is cheaper...
