For the last few days my pinkie on my left hand has been going numb...not totally numb, but it's there.

What could this mean? I've never had problems with blood circulation...

I do use that hand do play guitar *ALL DAY* but that can't cause numbness can it? It's kinda my life... And...i drink and smoke but not excessively. And i eat healthy. If any of that is at all relevant.

  1. It could mean that you have an irritated nerve as a result of the frequent playing of the guitar (an example only).

When this occurs (and it can happen) it would fit under the category of repetitive motions which can sometimes cause injuries such as irritation to the nerve or for some carpal tunnel syndrome (another example only).

The only way to know for sure what's going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.
