Randy Caballero excited to win his first title bout, ready to take on Alexis Santiago – Boxing news
The undefeated Nicaraguan American professional boxer, Randy Caballero has succeeded in an effort to bring a possible title shot in his way.
The 20-year-old, Caballero performed very well in his six previous fights. The Orthodox stance, Caballero will be facing the 20-year-old, American Super Bantamweight contender, Alexis Santiago in their 8-round bout on July 1, 2011 at the Fantasy Springs
Casino in California, United States.
While attending the press conference at the Fantasy Springs Casino on Tuesday, Caballero officially announced the fight card. He said, “It's special to do it in your hometown. I wish the fight was this week because I want this belt already.”
The famous Golden Boy promotional company is behind this fight card to make it possible. They are going to promote the number seven fight card at the Fantasy Springs. Caballero has participated in all the six fight cards.
Caballero has been outstanding since he joined boxing as a profession. He is now returning to the ring after winning 11 consecutive fights. His last fight was against Sergio Cristobal where he won a fourth round Technical Knockout Decision at the Fantasy
Spring Casino in California, United States.
On the other hand, Santiago is also an undefeated boxing prospect. He has won every bout in his career except for one draw. He made his debut winning a four-round unanimous points’ decision against Aaron Fernandez in 2009 at the Celebrity Theatre in Arizona,
United States. In his last fight, Santiago won a unanimous points’ decision fighting against Carlos Luque at the Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino in United States.
The manager of Golden Boy promotional company, Itskowitch said, “(Fantasy Springs) is very important to us, we’ve done a show a month, and the support they've given us is great.”
The Featherweight contender, Randy ‘Matador’ Caballero said that he is planning to take a career break after the July 1 fight and would not participate in the August card at the same Fantasy Arena.
Hopefully, the fight will be interesting and fascinating to watch because both the fighters are looking excited and passionate to win this.
